With a world of technology access at our fingertips, whether it’s our smart phones, computers, or tablets, we never have to miss a beat. In this new normal, it has made it so easy to forget the beauty of driving, without a GPS, and randomly coming across a camping destination where you can unplug and show off your campmosphere. Or meeting a friend in person for a cup of coffee instead of facetiming, while you each stand in line at different Starbucks.
Today, some ITC employees will join in a digital detox as part of the National Day of Unplugging. This kind of detox is to remind us to look up and appreciate the world around us. Whether you unplug to reconnect or spend quality time with the ones that matter most or just to take a solitary walk in the woods, join others in this detox! Bonus points if you get others to join in with you, that way you would be missing the latest Facebook posts. For 24 hours, starting at sundown tonight (March 3), unplug and join these ITC employees and others on a digital detox. Happy Unplugging!
